Visualize Your Goals
Learning to visualize your goals will take you from acting like a hamster running around on a wheel to finding a purposeful route of direct action. Are you sick of taking action without a purpose or passion? Visualization takes practice. It's like exercising the muscles of your imagination. The rewards of life often come at the end, not the beginning. Building a successful life takes time but it all begins with a choice to use the most powerful tool you have access to: your imagination. The goal of acquiring strength in the realms of your imagination is to really prepare yourself to hold a vision building mentality. This is so you can hold in your mind what it is you want to build. This plays an integral part in creating a vision for your life. A very important and overlooked aspect of fine tuning your vision is to really pay attention to visual details. Its certainly naive to think that our physical vision has nothing to do with our internal vision, because in essence, they are deeply interrelated. The truth is that your attention to detail in the physical world is the base and foundation of influence for what you see in your imagination. Stop, open your eyes, and look around you. Detach yourself from the results and judgments behind what you see and highlight as much detail as you can see at any given moment. A huge aspect of our life is being receptive to our surroundings. We interact with the outside world through our senses, sharpening and attuning our senses to our physical experience is the first step in creating a vision for your life. This is where you tie in your other senses to visualize your goals. If you hold in your vision where you want to be in 3 years, the easiest way to create a vision for your life is to incorporate other senses. So lets say you want to find the perfect home. First thing you would think about is what does it look like. Imagine it. But too often does that become the stopping point for creating a vision. On the contrary, it is merely the starting point. See yourself in the perfect home. What does it smell like See yourself there and smell yourself there as well so to speak. What does it feel like to be there? What emotions or ideas are invoked within you as you gather the pieces to the grand puzzle of your overall vision. What do you hear? Glorious music? Birds chirping? the ocean shore? wind blowing? The lively motion of the city? The quiet solitude of the country? What do you taste? What reminds you of home? What makes it home? Apply this scenario to any situation on life. Whether its a new job, a new relationship, a new way of being. For all things you choose to pursue in your life, visualize your goals. What are some other ways you can experience life through your senses? Don't let the fact that you aren't yet where you would like to be stop you from feeling the experience it could give to you. After all, that is the very essence of vision building. Return from Visualize Your Goals to Home.
